This guide will walk you through the booking flow from customer booking to cart placement.

Service reservation

  1. Once you are on the service product page of your Shopify store, you will see the Sakurabook booking wizard on the right.In the case of "Service Reservation" where you can reserve a staff member, select a staff member in the first step.View each staff member's profile picture, name, and biography.You can switch between staff members with the arrows or click their profile picture.After selecting the staff, clickNext button in the top left part of the page.

  2. Once you've selected your staff, it's time to select dates and locations.Select a specific day. The first click is the start date, the second click is the end date.For short-term bookings, such as a few hours, click Same Day.Next is location selection.A location indicates where a service is provided, such as a store or office.Select the desired location from the location drop-down menu.In addition, detailed price information is displayed below the calendar.

  4. Next is time selection.Select the start time and end time in the dropdowns.Since it is displayed under the time bar, you can select the time while checking the price.When the time is set,Next button in the top left part of the page.

  5. Confirm the selected service and add the option menu.Customers can also add a menu of options related to your service here to their cart.As you add options, the service price will automatically update.

  6. This is the final confirmation screen.If the reservation contents are as desired,Check out” button.Proceed to cart payment.

  7. Next is checkout at the cart, order confirmation, and payment.This is similar to the general Shopify payment flow.

Rental space reservation

  1. Rental space reservationType, first select the desired date.The first click is the start date, the second click is the end date.For single day usage, such as several hours, click Same Day.Next is location selection.A location indicates the location of the space you are booking, such as a store or office.Select your preferred location from the drop-down menu.In addition, detailed price information is displayed below the calendar.

  4. This is the summary screen. Customers can also add to their cart some AddOns for the rental. The summary price is automatically updated after you add the AddOn. In this example, there are no AddOns available for the rental space.

Booking status

each reservationhas a total of four reservation statuses.Each status changes depending on how far the customer has progressed in the booking flow.

pending reservationThe status is that the customer has left a reservation in the cart, but has not yet paid.The reserved date/time will be temporarily reserved (about XNUMX hour).

Reservation abandonedYour status will automatically switch if you remain in pending booking status for more than one hour.The reserved day/time is released and becomes available for another customer to book.

Reservation refusedStatus occurs when the booking itself was successfully paid, but there were other conflicting bookings.In that case, a notification email is sent to both the Shopify site administrator and the customer. Your Shopify site's support representative should inform the customer of this situation.

Confirmed statusis if the reservation was paid successfully.The provision of the reservation service is officially confirmed on the reserved date/time.
